Found this huge rusty and crusty nut at the waters edge at the public way to the river while I went for my walk today. Shirt walk since it was rainy out. But the public way/ waters edge is full of welding slag what a mess. But I snagged this nut. Might use it in a still life. Pen friends will recognize this extremely well loved pen. I saw it on the ground when I was out for my Dr. Prescribed walk and had to pick it up.i was hoping it was the fountain pen version alas it is the gel pen version. With a half full refill too. Scrubbed it down with some hand sani and here it is. This thing had gotten some loooove. That said if it is yours and you were one of the kids drinking in the cemetery last night, stop being a cliche and hit my DMs with the original pattern on the grip and I'll give it back to you with a better refill fitted. #beverlyma #beverlymassachusetts

I am having the kids make trophies for themselves, here are a few of my examples- the first is a finished silver trophy for making mountains out of mole hills... You make a basic form out of tin foil, then layer it with strips of masking tape then gesso then finally paint. They are simple a easy to make and could be used with sculpy over the top. Or even an air dry clay. Just keep the sculpy thin. Anyway. The next nearly complete figure is for taking a first step, the next for being a good artist and finally for being an exceptional coffee drinker. These are so inexpensive and fun I've been having a great time making them with the kids. If you could give yourself a trophy for anything what would it be for?

I'm not usually a big fan of sending folx out to the Dollar Tree but their skimpy little sunglasses cases are bomb for organizing art supplies. This thing holds 9 molotow markers a sharpie.and a pen. That's more than what I need for daily sketching. Am I putting fancy fountain pens in there no. But am I slamming that thing full of supplies? Damn right. Also, good for cords and cables.

I promised myself a good cup of coffee at the end of my walk. That was 4 hours ago. So this decaf cappuccino will do. Pretty happy with my milk steaming these days. This one is cinnamon. Tasty af.

Not bad. Not good. Would probably be improved with the addition of some bourbon or whiskey of some sort. It's highly bitter but not totally unpleasant. Tastes like someone tried to make an affogato with a creamsicle. Bizzaaahhhh.

I bought a battery replacement kit for the old iPh0nie. Was pretty easy to follow the online instructions. Had a close call with he glue holding in the old battery pack and poking a hole in the old battery... Uh but the new one went in easy and is charging up now and the phone isn't hot as hell. So a pretty easy if fiddly fix for an old phone. Also it cost $21 for the whole kit. Worth it.

Transformed a writing notebook into an art journal and a sketchbook into my own. I took video of the process. It will be up on YouTube at comfortableshoesstudio this week. Pretty stoked at the skulls and brains @reddoggirl67 sent me (I think it was you?) Killer stuff.

So I was in home Depot, a man and his daughters were around the same areas as I had been and at one point one of his kiddies was wailing and he was super kind and patient with her. Later I was going in the opposite direction in a crowded area and I let them pass. He stopped and the girl mumbled something and tried to hand me something, dad said, say it louder honey, she she said merry Christmas and handed me a home Depot card. I thanked them and said this.is a.nice surprise. No name on it just $10. So that was really cool.
