Contemplating why so many authors use sexual violence/degradation as a plot device. Can't we figure out another method of moving the female character forward or motivating her to change? It seems lile a lazy tool. What about all the manners used to move male characters forward, can't they apply to female characters as well? (we all know the answer is yes.) #amwriting #amreading
