Leslie I love reading your blog (have down for a few months now) but even more I absolutely adore these journals but alas I could never own one. You see I'm vegetarian and have to steer well away from leather goods. Do you/can you use faux leather to create any of your journals? I would be very interested but don't know if living in Scotland is a problem.
One more thing that you may be better answering through email (rburdock@gmail.com)if you have the time. I'd love to be able to create renaissance journals similar to this - not to market but just for my own creation and satisfaction and would like to learn how to do so. However I don't know the first place to look so I'm begging you to give me just a snippet of information Did you learn your skill through a college course? Are there any books you would recommend? I've wanted to start creating my own journals for ages but have always given up having not made any progress in finding out. It's been a while since I've found a journal creator who makes journals that exactly appeal to me (aside from the use of leather :o) and your that person. So any pointers in the right direction will be very, very, very much appreciated
Love and Best Wishes
Robert
