For #homeroasting using the #freshroastsr500 the most important part of my notes are when I move the heat and begin to modulate the fan. I use an external timer instead of the onboard countdown on the fresh roast machine. It is more accurate. I also flick the heat off for 10 seconds at 20 sec mark and 45 sec mark. The off for 5 sec at 125, 150, 225 and finally at 250. This helps slow the heat ramp in the first 3 min of roasting and keeps the beans rotating as they lose moisture and warm up. #coffeeroasting
