Surprisingly my hand and arm feel good today and I've blown through half this comp book in a day. Daaaamn that's a lot of writing. Only 80 pages in this one. So another 40. 4000 words or so. This story is flowing. I filled that 120 (actually 130 page) 3 subject comp book in 3 days. Wow. 12800 words (roughly) writing the scenes out of order felt a little weird at first, but honestly, it flowed so well I'm going to go with it. Started another comp book, the Norcom with plastic covers. Y'all know how I feel about plastic covers (junk) but the paper is okay with pencil. The story needs some more, well a lot of work. Chewed through this Bauhaus B pencil. Lotta broken core, but it holds a point and leaves a dark line, so smooth plus its real with black dyed wood sooooo.... I have hit 10k words and then some. I decided that I would dive into the deep.end with my novel. I wrote over 1500 words yesterday and today devoted my day to writing (and laundry) and oh it was good. Nearly 8000 words down on the page. Soft smooth Nataraj metallic graphite and Wexford composition paper made for a nice smooth experience. So close to 10k in a weekend. I have 2 of the major scenes written. I've been struggling to write. Unfinished works haunt me with new scenes popping up and stuff that doesn't go. The last week a new story hit me and every time I sat to put my fingers on keys it left me. So last night after a letter from a friend I grabbed a trusty pencil and a fresh composition book and I wrote and wrote. then I wrote more this morning. About 2000 words. And I abandoned my usual way of working and found a new way and its letting the words flow. And this one is good so far. It's a shitty first draft but the bones are good. My hand hurts, but worth it. I told my coworker about the roast I made last night which resulted in Korean BBQ sauce and meat drippings in the bottom of my pan. He sent me a video from his favorite meal from his favorite restaurant in Korean using the same sauce and dripping. This is my riff on that- leftover BBQ meat, cabbage sliced thin, rice and leftover sauce, egg, and cheese. It is soooooooo darn good. #eatgoodfood

I followed instructions for making a DIY drip tower from a plastic cup and an aeropress base last night. This morning I was greeted with really delightful dripped cold brew. I'm spending my writing time working on some edits for a nano novel that ended up being a 100k word urban fantasy. I've got more writing time now that I've deleted Facebook and Twitter off my phone, tablets, and laptops. I'm on MeWe if you are interested. Without the endless din and doomscrolling I was doing, I've calmed down and settled. Dont think I'm not raging and angry about BLM or that I'm not worried about covid, I am so so angry. The herb corner.is.coming along nicely. I have sage, rosemary, and 2 pots of basil started. Oregano on the way. A pot of bok choi and some flowers. I've got perilla and buchu ready to go into pots.
