I started this FN back when stuff was really rough at the old day job. My therapist suggested I start journaling at the end of every shift with my version of the day as a way to leave it behind. It helped a lot, looking back, with a bit of hindsight, has let me see where I was adding to the story and where I was more objective. It really was terrible and toxic. I hadn't written in it since the final rounds.of my new job interview process. I don't want to fill this journal so I added a few notes and have decided to retire it as pocket notebook number 103. I've got a new one more than half full and I really wish I could find my one star x nock leather fodderstack. My poster for work is done. If glitch were letterpress this is what it would look like. This is a 3 color job: blue, yellow and magenta on top. The largest type are antiques, the middle size was a modern purchase. Finally the smallest type is lead and newish. Killer. These are the groups I'll be running. Got a queer HS student in Lynn that would like to explore letterpress, printing, in an art therapy based environment, HMU. Excuse the dust, but I had to refill these pens today. I've been scribbling a lot of things and filling pages of sketchbooks. Really digging the diamine majestic blue for writing and sketching. The pages of my work doodle book is supposed absorbent, which is great for printing stuff but sucks up ink when sketching. I dig how it looks though. Rainy nor'easter today. Finished the poster I've been working on and broke down the job for the next one to hit the press. I've got print drying everywhere. But I sat down with some more make ready and misprints and made a few more sketchbooks. One is for me and the other is a gift. I keep finding stuff in the shop and it's awesome. The binding is a simple 2 sig in one set of holes. Made a book out of trash. Literally, picked this stuff up from a local biz who saves packaging and then gives it away. This was some heavy weight wrapping paper. The exterior is several layers glued together and then covered in a bunch of acrylic paint. The interior is a simple smythe stitch which is then glued up. I glued it to the cover, not well. I didn't center the block well at all. That said the trash paper I side will make for a good sketchbook. #makergonnamake #maker #bookbinding

Wowow if you have ever bought gochugaru- Korean pepper flakes you know you use a lot of them for Korean cooking. I decided to grow my own Korean gochu- a hybrid called.Gochujang King. These dried pepper flakes consist of more than half my harvest. They are sweet and hot and amazing. Immense punch of flavor. Amazing variety that I picked up from @kitazawa_seed and will grow again. Wowowowow found these bits of printing history in a cabinet at @rawartworkslynn some antique @miltonbradley911 ink and some @speedball_art ink from when Pearl Paint was still around.
