The last pic I posted of #maine is directly behind me. The spot where you would climb down the bank is on my left. Straight ahead are Maine Wild Blueberry fields, freshly mowed after the harvest. The river follows the tree line and creates a point of land. Sometimes, like the moment in this pic, I really miss this place. The beauty doesn't blot out the fact that there are no jobs and being a #ruralqueer can really suck. I don't miss that at all. The closet sucks. Getting stared at sucks. And racism sucks.

Growing up I spent a lot of time at this bend in the river. It is deep and you gotta climb down a steep bank to get there. Once there the water is deep and cold and perfect on a hot August day. Fishing isn't bad either. #maine #ruralqueers
