Pears have enzymes that work really well for breaking down meats so they get tender and juicy. It will be interesting to see how they work when fermented. Not this one though, this on is going to be eaten.

Raspberries are a crop I grow 100% for myself, my wife does not like them. These goldies usually everbearing, that is, they produce a crop in both early summer and another in the fall. This year my goldies are producing only 1 crop. The neighbor's annihilation of his yard and I suspect chemical spraying stressed them out. But they are covered in fruit and starting to ripen. I dont think I'll get enough to make jam, but do plan to spread the plants around the yard. #urbanoasis #citysteading #cityfarm I might try to ferment a few, NOMA style.
