Farm tragedy: nephew let the chickens out, mom forgot that there was a trap set for raccoons and skunks. Ended up catching a young hen instead. Shattered her leg up in the thigh. Sadly there was no saving her. My nephew and mom were both very upset. As is the nature of a farm, 6 eggs were put under a broody hen with the hope they'll get a few more chicks. #farmlife #sad
